I love saving money. Here are some great websites that help me do just that!
Woot.com
Woot.com has some awesome daily deals on everything from refurbished electronics to new baby products, and wine for the parents.
Groupon.com
Local Boston Deals change everyday. Yesterday was a salon deal and today is an indoor skydiving deal. I recently purchased a Groupon for a spa day for $50. I got a couple of hours to myself to get a haircut, facial and makeup application. It was well worth it! Groupon.com offers an iPhone app, as well.
Retailmenot.com
Look here for coupon codes before buying anything online. The site also offers printable coupons for brick and mortar stores.
Amazon.com/mom
A friend told me about the new Amazon mom site where you can order diapers and other baby supplies. If you sign up to their subscribe and save package you receive 15% off for setting up a future delivery of diapers. You may change, cancel or reschedule your future purchase as needed. What could be better then not lugging the diapers and wipes home from the store?
Manufacturers’ Websites
Log on and register for coupons, recipes, tips and samples. I have a separate email account that I use just for this reason.
Even with the bargains offered by the sites above, this post talks about spending money. But I also believe that women need to learn about hot save money and how to make money work for you. My favorite book about the subject is A Purse of Her Own, By Deorah Owens. A purse of her own is a realistic way for a women to learn about investing and finances in general.
What are some of your favorite websites or books to save or learn about money?

/ February 26, 2011Amy, thanks for filling me in on these sites – the only one I had heard of is retailmenot and look at it before every online purchase I make!! I can’t wait to check out groupon.
My favorites: For children’s clothing, gear, toys, books at deeply discounted prices I like zulily.com and theminisocial.com
